Burbank Fantasy 5 Prize Worth a Half Million Claimed!

SACRAMENTO – The holiday season just got a little brighter for one California Lottery player. Elba Balderas recently won $546,986 playing Fantasy 5 in Burbank.

So, how does one react when learning more than a half million-dollars is headed your way? “My heart was pumping,” Balderas said. “I got really excited.”

Balderas matched all five numbers from the August 11th draw. Those numbers were: 3, 15, 28, 30, and 32. The ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven store located at 2500 Burbank Boulevard in Burbank (Los Angeles County).

Balderas plans to use some of the money to pay off her house. “It’s going to give me a little bit of freedom.”

Fantasy 5 offers some of the best odds of any California Lottery game. A player wins the Fantasy 5 top prize simply by matching five numbers out of a field of 39. Winning numbers are drawn every day. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 22,000 California Lottery retailers or one of the more than 4,000 Lottery Lucky Retailers. Remember, you must have your original ticket when claiming any Fantasy 5 prize, so be sure you don’t forget and leave it at the store!

The California Lottery is a $6 billion enterprise based in Sacramento. It is one of the few state agencies that is a revenue generator, not accepting taxpayer dollars from the State’s General Fund. Its mission is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. In FY 2016-17, the Lottery created 83 new millionaires. Ninety-five cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
